Pierre-Antoine Roy, head of the Segid data lab, drew on the results of this first batch with Madinez and revealed the accelerator’s next steps.
Revenue growth for the first promotion
Each selected startup was able to choose three mentors from a panel of experts, who supported them throughout the program. Participants benefited from masterclasses, networking events, media visibility activities, etc. to accelerate their product development and marketing, as well as accelerate their brand impact.
For Pierre-Antoine Roy, the result is: “We see good growth in turnover and customer base for all accelerated start-ups. Three of them have completed fundraising, the fourth is in the process of being finalised.”
Lots of participants: “During the acceleration program, we achieved our product market fit and signed our first 12 customers. We are ready to raise funds” explains its co-founder Benjamin Lan Sun Look letoA GDPR Compliance Automation Solution.
“Mentoring has made the difference and support has allowed us to increase average baskets, as well as reach larger accounts.” added its co-founder Antoine Pernet Microdoingwhich designs tailor-made courses of micro-actions conducted by employees or students to improve training and organizational performance.
For their part, the consultants Also come big of this experience. “Initially, the consultants were happy to offer their expertise and share their knowledge. Ultimately, they also learn a lot from the startups they support, and infuse this new knowledge into their teams.” explained Pierre Antoine Roy.
Continued cooperation with Cegid
This Friday, September 16, 2022, Leto, Microdoing and other accelerated startups will complete their journey within the Cegid Data Lab. something Accelerator-compliant programs will continue their development, while others prefer to settle on their own premises.
But the link with Segid is likely to remain as the desire to establish an alumni network to perpetuate the relationship between startups and Segid… but also to build bridges with future startups that will join the accelerator. Outside of this network, some startups have also been able to form technical and commercial partnerships with Segid, which will continue to put its ecosystem to good use.
A second batch in sight
There is no respite for Pierre-Antoine Roy and the Cegid Data Lab, which will welcome a second promotion from Monday, October 3, 2022. “Now we will accompany 7 startups. 3 of these are HR tech startups QsummitMagma and the ref1 with fintech startups yabakoWith 2 retail technology startups believe, mybe And finally with a tech startup Vox” explains Accelerator’s head. Regardless of their sector of activity, data will always be at the heart of every project.
If the second batch has fewer startups than the previous one, it is best to allow enough space for them and hire more during acceleration. “We received a lot of applications for this second edition: the hardest part was choosing and narrowing ourselves down to a limited number of companies” Pierre-Antoine Roy continued.
Among the innovations of this batch, the Cegid data lab team will also be expanded with 3 work-study students, to best support its residents. “Each of these three students has a favorite field, such as community management. Their role will be to support startups in the development of their activities through short missions that can last from one day to two weeks, an initiative appreciated by the participants.” explained the manager of Segid Data Lab.
Again, the accelerator wants to put all the means at its disposal to help these new promotion startups develop their products and grow their activities.
